Jill E. Oliphant, DVM
Oliphant Equine Specialty Veterinary Services, PLLC is owned and operated by Dr. Jill E. Oliphant of Georgetown, Kentucky.
Dr. Oliphant grew up just outside Chicago, IL and was involved in the horse world at an early age. Through intensive involvement in the United States Pony Club and the local 3-day eventing community, her passion and understanding for the horse industry was fostered at an early age.
While continuing to compete and ride, Dr. Oliphant attended undergrad at North Central College in Naperville, IL and went on to attend veterinary school at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in Auburn, AL. She graduated with honors in 2010 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Oliphant continued to foster her love of equine sports and performance medicine by completing an 18-month Sport Horse Internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. Following her internship, she was invited to stay on as one of Hagyard’s 3 Sport Horse Veterinarians. While practicing, Dr. Oliphant attended Options For Animals: College of Animal Chiropractic, from which she graduated in 2013, and gained accreditation from the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. During her time at Hagyard, Dr. Oliphant had the privilege of working the 2010 World Equestrian Games Quarantine and Competition, multiple HITS Thermal Circuits in California, as well as multiple Rolex 3-Day Events and North American Jr and Young Rider Championships.
Following her time at HEMI, Dr. Oliphant joined Equine Performax Veterinary Services, just outside Nashville, TN, where she was able to devote more of her practice to equine chiropractic, rehabilitation, and dentistry.
Throughout her experiences with all levels of competition animals, from beginner to world-class, Dr. Oliphant has seen the benefits that proper chiropractic and dental health can provide. So in January of 2015, Dr. Oliphant followed her passion to start her own ambulatory veterinary practice, specializing in equine chiropractic and dentistry, as well as small animal chiropractic.
When not practicing, Dr. Oliphant spends time with her husband, Tanner, enjoying the outdoors on their farm. They are kept busy with their 2 dogs, Bodhi and Tyler, their 3 horses, Chief, PD, and Allie, and their 2 cats, Abby the Tabby and Moxy. Other than riding, Dr. Oliphant enjoys hiking, running, and biking.
